We recommend an Internet speed of 10Mbps and above for optimal access to cloud recording, streaming on demand videos and search functions.

Note: ** Except 4K UHD, Astro First and all radio channels

All existing or new Astro customers who meet the following criteria may upgrade to the Ultra Box:

1. Have an internet connection at home (recommended>10Mbps speed)
1. Maintain a minimum subscription with a HD + Recording service

If you live in a high-rise building, please call us at 03- 7481 8000 to check if your building can support the Ultra Box. If your high-rise building allows for the set-up of individual dishes you will be able to upgrade to the Ultra Box, subject to the criteria above.

If you would like to access our 4K UHD content via the Astro UHD channel 805 and UHD content on VOD, Astro Best and Astro First. We also recommend:

1. 4K UHD supported TV that is HDCP2.2 compliant
1. Internet connection of at least 30Mbps

Note: If you do not have an internet connection at home, you may take up the Ultra Box bundled with Astro™'s broadband package with rebates of up to RM30/month. For more details and to sign up for Astro & Broadband, please click here.

You must subscribe to an Astro subscription (NJOI customers are not eligible) in order to get the Ulti Box.

The eligibility criteria for the Ulti Box are as follows:

New Customers

All new Astro customers with a monthly subscription fee of below RM100 will be entitled to select the Ulti Box upon signing up for Astro’s packages.

Existing Customers (Box Upgrade for Primary or Multiroom)

Existing customers are required to have an internet connection at home with a recommended internet speed of 10Mbps and above in order to upgrade your existing box to Ulti Box.

Note:

· Existing Ultra Box customers are not eligible for a swap to the Ulti Box.

· If your existing box is a PVR, you will lose access to all the recordings stored in the PVR

Multiroom (New subscription)

Customers subscribing for an additional multiroom subscription are entitled to select the Ulti Box as part of the subscription.

The Multi-user Profile feature allows customers to create individual profiles within their Astro Box and Astro GO with the following personalisation:

• Personalised Recommendations
• Continue Watching
• Watch List
• Last Viewed Channel
• Favourite & Blocked Channels

The MUP feature is a great way to allow individual users to tailor personal Astro experiences whilst using a shared device (e.g.: Astro Box) in the household, providing them with better personalised recommendations and encouraging better content discovery.

My Astro is available on web browser and app. The app can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store, Apple App Store or Huawei App Gallery.

For Ultra and/or Ulti box users, My Astro app is now added to the Top Menu so you can easily access it to manage or update your account. You may find it in the Top Menu, located next to Settings. Please refer to the image below to see what it looks like:
